MizFit

just ordered your book and CAN NOT WAIT to receive it.

My Toddler Tornado is only two---but as a mom who is fascinated (some might say obsessed. tomato. tomaaaato.) with popculture and the negative ways it impacts our girls and young women I intend to guide her into adulthood with my eyes wide open.

not related to movies, but totally related to superheroes and kids: look to The Runaways (graphic novel series) by Brian Vaughn! (if you want to be reassured) [stereotypes persist in some ways--but there's so much more. smart girls!--girls getting along with boys getting along with girls to fight evil, TOGETHER! etc. ...dinosaurish pet!...evil parents!...superpowers!]

when these are made into movies?--we'll have something awesome to talk about with the LT, GP, MG equivalents on the cover...

I have a great movie idea: 100 Days of Summer! In the movie, a couple of girls start a pop band to raise money for a skate park. They find out that girls CAN rock, but don't have to avoid pop music (unless they're too young) so they turn their pop band into a pop-rock band.

I think Paltrow denied making the statements attributed to her and told People magazine that she never gave an interview to a Portuguese publication, but instead had tried to say in Spanish, during a press conference, that Europe was an "older culture" and Americans "live to work"
